Cinematographic space
can constitute an additional instrument of introspection and observation
of the relations between the people. It is a place of fiction where
the images and the stories request imagination and questions perception.
This real or virtual place works in parallel on the visual and historical
memory; it gets a density: density of place, of image, of character.
It likes to invent situations, to weave ambiguous and unexpected
links between the experiments of the characters in possible environments.
It can also put in abyss the mechanism of the sight, the history
of the eye.
The acceleration
of the circulation of men and ideas, the appearance of new technologies
of image made possible to invent new language to express this place,
to encircle it, work out it. These new means of expression, which
generally are connected with the digital tool, imply to exceed the
field of conventional esthetics.
On the "Rue
A. Dansaert" in Brussels, Liquid Movie puts in space a short-movie
of Bob Van, " Waterdragon ", the walls of the place become
stretched and fragmented screens by the intermediary of the moving
images which dematerialize the rigid limits of space realities.
