Transit residences and workshops, 1000 Brussels.

This building results from a step which aims at producing cheap residences for young creators. The project is likely to bring to work on the spot young architects, photographers and designer. Thus the unit is equipped with low or reduced rents residences, with collective or individual creations spaces and a permanent place for " streetexposures ".
A " not-programmed " central patio is dedicated to the communication and the events such as meetings, debates, festivals, projections and installations of artists. The idea of vicinity, of relations between various artistic dimensions, determines the driving character of this complex.
The frontage is articulated using surfaces with differentiated textures (densities, colors and opacities) and is illuminated the evening by " liquid " projections which dematerialize the visible orthogonal edges during the day.
The constructive logic is simple, but allows nevertheless a certain variety in the layout of the parts of life and work. We find indeed various duplex and triplex with terraces and with three frontages (1 public and 2 private).
The materials to use in preoccupations with an economy are of industrialists command (rough concrete, formwork wood, industrial staircases and sheet of hangar).
