Dubro Cubo is a small project of restoration which is integrated in the old town of Dubrovnik. The purpose of it is to break with a stylistic attitude which would like to copy old models belonging to other times, and by forcing a made language of caricatural signs. The project nourishes the context, it preserves the creative forces and intentions of it, under a continuity. It takes as a starting point the surrounding colors and textures, with the thickness of materials. The use of strong materials in their nature, their potentialities (stone, steel, wood) is privileged, for reasons of comfort, maintenance... and perenniality.
